About this tool

Assumes the SIP is invested at the start of each month and returns compound monthly at a steady rate. Real fund returns vary year to year, so treat the result as a range, not a promise.

Formula: FV = P × ((1+i)^n − 1) ÷ i × (1+i), i = annual rate ÷ 12

Worked example

With monthly sip of ₹10,000, expected return of 12% and period of 15 years:

Future value₹50,45,760
Amount invested₹18,00,000
Estimated gains₹32,45,760

Questions people ask

How is SIP return calculated?

Each monthly instalment compounds from the month it is invested. The calculator adds the future value of every instalment using the standard annuity-due formula.

Are SIP returns guaranteed?

No. Mutual fund returns depend on markets. The calculator shows what a steady return would produce, not what you will get.
