PPF Calculator
Public Provident Fund maturity for 15 years and extensions at the current notified rate, with yearly balances.
Methodology & assumptions
how this number is producedMaturity = D × [((1+r)^n − 1) ÷ r] × (1+r) · annual deposit at year start, compounding yearly
Assumptions
- One deposit at the start of each year at the notified rate (7.1% for 2026-27, Q2 (Jul–Sep 2026))
- Rate held constant for the full tenure — the government revises it quarterly, so real returns will drift
- Extension in 5-year blocks assumed for tenures above 15 years
- PPF_MAX_ANNUAL = ₹1,50,000 enforced by the input
Limitations
- Actual PPF interest depends on the lowest balance between the 5th and last of each month — instalment timing can shift results slightly
- Rate revisions are outside anyone's control; treat 7.1% as today's notified rate, not a guarantee
- Withdrawal/loan-against-PPF rules are not modelled
Results are informational estimates produced by MyCapitalverse's own models. They are not financial advice and may differ from how a lender, insurer or authority computes the same figure.
How to use the PPF calculator
- Enter your yearly deposit (₹500 to ₹1.5 lakh).
- Keep the notified rate or change it.
- Read maturity value and interest earned.
